Scott Townes is a Partner at Easy Street Capital, where he oversees operations, technology strategy, and platform scalability. His experience includes capital raising, portfolio management, asset management, business operations, loan origination, and software development.

 

Mr. Townes began his career as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Marine Corps, where he twice deployed in support of combat operations in Iraq. He later transitioned into real estate investment and asset management, where he built and managed a platform that invested over $1.0 billion of equity in residential and small-cap multifamily assets across multiple states. Since entering the debt financing space, Mr. Townes has played a leadership role in the origination of more than $5 billion in loans.

 

At Easy Street Capital, Mr. Townes has helped scale the firm’s national private lending platform by improving operational processes, building internal systems, and leading the development of proprietary technology. He oversees Easy Street’s technology and AI initiatives, including workflow automation, data-driven reporting, operational support tools, and internal software designed to enhance efficiency, consistency, and customer experience across the organization.

 

Mr. Townes holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Harbor Day School in Newport Beach, California.
